Hi Calvin! I hope you are having fun in the warm weather of summer! I always love summer because I can be outside without getting too cold. The pictures I am posting today show you my new friend, Miss Lizard! I often go out and sit on my deck to work on my computer early in the morning before it gets too hot. There is a swing on my deck, and I noticed that there was a lizard on the back of the swing so I thought I would take some pictures. She was SO SWEET, and just sat there turning her head and walking around slowly, so I was able to get lots of good pictures. These are the best ones. I hope you enjoy meeting my friend, Miss Lizard!! Isn't she beautiful!?!? I have been watching the bird nest every day, and we don't have babies yet. When I know there are some babies I will take some pictures and put them on our blog. Your birthday is coming very soon! I have sent a package to you, but save it to open until your special day. I love you VERY much, Nana

A Mama bird on our porch!

Hi Calvin, Hope you are having a wonderful day! I wanted to share our new family member with you...she is a Mama bird who made her nest on our front porch. She and the Daddy bird have been working really hard for about two weeks building the nest. You can see the birdhouse next to the nest, but I think they wanted a nest that was bigger than the birdhouse!! Now, the Mama and Daddy bird aren't working on the nest anymore. They take turns sitting on the nest because they have eggs in the nest, and they want to protect them and keep them warm. In a few weeks we will have little baby birds!! If I can get a picture, I will. But, it is really up high and I am not sure I can get one. But, I am so excited to have the nest on our porch. New life is a beautiful thing. I love you, Nana
